At Inclusive Tutoring Network, we believe every step forward matters.

This page explains how we set, track and review personalised learning targets for each student using the RARPA framework. By focusing on clear, achievable goals and reviewing progress regularly, we are able to celebrate successes, identify gaps in learning, and adapt our approach to meet each learner’s individual needs. Our target-focused approach supports pupils to build confidence, make meaningful academic progress, and develop the skills they need for life beyond education.

Success

What is RARPA?

RARPA is a nationally recognised process designed to measure progress in non-accredited learning. It focuses on personalised targets and continuous reflection, making it great for children and young people with Special Educational Needs, SEMH challenges, or those on bespoke education packages such as EOTAS.

The process allows us to record and evidence not just academic progress, but also the vital social, emotional, and life skills that underpin long-term success.

Tuition

How We Deliver Target-Focused Tuition

Each student begins with a personalised learning plan, created in collaboration with families, professionals, and the student themselves wherever possible. These plans are broken down into clear, achievable targets linked to academic learning, EHCP outcomes, and personal development goals.

During every tuition session, tutors use these targets as a focus point. Progress is recorded, strengths are noted, and any emerging gaps are identified. This ensures sessions remain structured, purposeful, and responsive to the learner’s needs.

Using an online software, we then collate this information into data tables and visual reports, giving a clear picture of:

  • Areas of steady progress
  • Gaps or barriers that need more focus
  • Emerging patterns in behaviour, engagement, or learning
  • Evidence of growth over time, both academically and personally

Why This Matters:

This approach goes far beyond simply “ticking boxes.”

It also allows us to adapt provision quickly, making sure that teaching and support always stay aligned to the learner’s evolving needs, progress or barriers to learning.

It Provides:

  • Students a sense of achievement and ownership over their learning journey.
  • Families reassurance that progress is being tracked in a meaningful and transparent way.
  • Schools and local authorities the evidence they need to see the impact of provision and plan next steps confidently.
