Reintegration Pathway

Category:

Description

Our Reintegration Pathway is designed to support children and young people back into education when they have experienced disruption due to EBSA, anxiety, SEMH, SEND, complex needs, medical needs or exclusion. We understand that returning to education is rarely a simple step and often requires a carefully planned, phased and compassionate approach. Our support focuses on rebuilding trust, confidence and emotional safety alongside academic engagement, recognising that readiness to learn must come before formal expectations. We work flexibly with pupils for short or longer-term periods, using interest-led, relationship-focused and practical learning to re-establish routine and positive engagement.

Crucially, we work in partnership with schools, families and multi-agency teams around the child, ensuring a joined-up approach that aligns with EHCP targets, pastoral plans and wider wellbeing needs. Reintegration may involve graded exposure to education settings, blended learning, community-based learning, or in-school support, depending on what is most appropriate for the individual. Our aim is always to support a sustainable return to education, and we find this work especially rewarding when pupils who have previously disengaged begin to believe in themselves again and successfully move forward into school, alternative provision or the next appropriate placement.
